A Love Letter to the Haitian Diaspora πŸ‡πŸ‡Ή

To our Haitian family,

Today, we’re not here to promote anything. We simply want to speak from the heart.

To every Haitian building a life away from home, supporting family, raising children between two cultures, or carrying concerns others may never fully understandβ€”we see you.

As a Haitian born in Cap-HaΓ―tien, I know that home is more than a place. It lives in our language, our music, our food, our traditions, and the pride we carry wherever we go.

Even during uncertain times, remember that we are more than the difficult stories told about Haiti.

We carry the courage of those who came before us. We carry beauty, creativity, strength, and a history that changed the world.

Never feel that you must make your Haitian identity smaller to make others comfortable. Carry it confidently. Pass it forward. Let the next generation know exactly where they come from.

Wherever we may be, Haiti lives through us.

You are seen. You are valued. And you are never alone.

With love and solidarity,

Jeff
